Pat Pledger, founder and owner of Pledger Business English Training, is a native English speaker and qualified trainer of English. She entered the business English training world after 20 years in personnel management in London following a move to Frankfurt and then Hamburg. Since 1993 she has undertaken training for many national and international companies throughout Germany and at the end of December 2023, Pat returned to the UK to live after 33 years in Germany. Since Covid in 2020, all training has been done online, so this has enabled her to continue servicing her German clients from the UK. She now lives in a lovely town in Kent, within easy reach of London, where she can indulge her love of the arts as well as walking in the Kent countryside, when she is not working.

Pat is a member of  the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language and founder of the “Professional Women’s forum e.V.”. She was also chairperson of The Arts Society Hamburg e.V. for 9 years prior to leaving Germany.
